Why is my data missing or delayed?

Usually one of three things.

1. Permissions. Joise can only read what Apple Health lets it read. In the app, go to Settings → Account → Apple Health and check that Joise has permission to read your Sleep data. Turning a permission off later stops new data arriving; it doesn't remove what already synced.

2. Sync timing. Your wearable writes to Apple Health on its own schedule, not on Joise's. Oura, Garmin and Whoop typically sync when you open their app in the morning. If Apple Health doesn't have last night's sleep yet, Joise can't either — open your device's own app first, then pull to refresh in Joise.

3. Wake date. A sleep session is filed under the day you woke up, not the day you went to bed. A night that starts at 11pm on Monday and ends at 6am on Tuesday appears on Tuesday. If a night looks like it's landed on the wrong day, this is nearly always why.

If sleep is showing in Apple Health but still hasn't reached Joise after a refresh, email hello@joise.app and tell us the date.
